Touch Biodegradable Bottles have a slight frosty appearance. The OXO additive Biovision88 is added at less than a 3% concentration to each bottle. It is food contact approved by the FDA and is European EFSA compliant. The biodegradation process and time line is currently being certified and documented by the appropriate agencies. The shelf life of our product is 24 – 36 months.

- Touch Biodegradable bottles are also 100% recyclable and governing bodies that oversee recycling in the USA haven’t yet approved our biodegradable bottles to enter the recycle stream. Product testing is currently underway to finalize approval for recycling of our biodegradable bottles and should be completed before the end of 2010.
- Vermont and Massachusetts currently have legislation excluding biodegradable bottles from requiring a deposit as required by their state mandated bottle bills. 1. What is BioVision88?
It is an Oxo-Biodegradable Polymer Additive that forms a chemical bond and attaches to the long chain “Polymer Backbone” acting as an oxygen radical catalyst.
2. Is BioVision88 FDA - EU/EEC - EFSA compliant?
Yes. All component material used for production of BioVision88 are Compliant both for FDA and Europe (EU/EEC) & EFSA
3. Why is BioVision88 considered “Green”?
BioVission88 is considered “Green” because it is biodegradable, recyclable and is produced in USA. BioVision88 is added to the Master Batch where production takes place at 1% – 3% load.
4. Is BioVision88 recyclable?
Yes. BioVision88 can enter the main recycling stream and will have little or no effect on follow through regrind.

Typically if the product (bottles,labels,bags, containers or caps) end up in a landfill, ocean or as litter; in approximately 24 – 36 months the product will biodegrade into H2O, Co2(minimal) and Biomass (Humus).
